I keep having fun restoring old tables. I usually find them in the streets, but this one, I actually bought at a flea market. A pair of tables, $5 each. Here is the first one I finished.
Scroll through the gallery below to see the result of the painting in detail.
I used acrylic paint for the board, and I spay painted the legs. I finished the process by adding a thick layer of epoxy resin to make it strong and to be able to use the table without harming the painting.
Street Art For Mankind, reach me out to do a live painting during Art Basel Miami 2017
in Wynwood. I worked with them last February and I loved it. They do such a great work fighting children slavery around the world, that I could only say yes to their invitation.
Below you will find the time lapse video of the live painting, in real time it lasted 3 hours.
The theme was "kids dreams", so I created a painting called "Feed your dreams with stardust". I really enjoyed painting live for this event, I would like to thank everyone that was part of this project and Street art for Mankind and Michelle Fontaniere from
MF Pop up gallery to made it happened.
New mural I painted for One11 hair studio in Miami, below you will find the video with the whole story. Richard and Esteban came to me a few weeks ago asking me to paint a mural for them at their hair studio. They had already something in mind, they wanted me to paint a kind of androgynous woman. A painting that would be feminine, but also have strong angular features. After a first attempt of a sketch where i mixed both woman and man in the same portrait, they told me they wanted something more subtle. So I came back with this sketch, and they both approved it right away. I wanted her to have a third eye, that to me represents them. Represents the people working at the salon, that have an attentive look on their clients and execute a wonderful and precise job. The character has both eyes closed to accentuate her calm and peaceful state of mind.
My first idea was to execute the mural with spray paint, but Richard insisted for me to paint with house paint. After four days of work, here she is, facing the entrance of the salon, welcoming the team and their clients everyday.
I am really thankful to both Richard and Esteban for this great opportunity to paint at their salon One11 hair studio, they offered me perfect conditions to paint, I truly appreciate that. Check them out, their work is amazing. The whole team has a great energy, you can feel the good vibes as soon as you enter the salon! Thank you guys!
Found this table in the streets last Friday, took it home and restored it to give it a second life.
I was looking for disposed objects to restore and use in my patio. I was in need of more plant stands for my herbs and other plants I have. I was also looking for a better table to go with my patio chairs.
Well, I found this table and thought it would be perfect. So I decided to paint it and varnish it to give it a second life. Below you will find the video of the process, enjoy!
Here is a new video, I am currently working on a character design for a new mural. Here is one of the attempt to get the right character I want for this project. I am still working on it with different designs, but here in the video you can see my first attempt. Enjoy!
I was invited by Desstres Association to perform a live painting at Chatô Bruyant Festival in Geneva. It was great, I had a wonderful day painting out there in Paquis, promoting a Social Revolution. Watch my video below to see what happened that day.
Little walk without precise goal. Have my backpack with a few spray paint and my sketchbook.
Lets see what can happen with that. Come with me to discover a bit of Carouge and some of my old murals. Some years have passed, but some murals are still standing.
On June 22th 2017 I went to revisit an old graffiti spot where I used to paint in Geneva Switzerland. This spot is La Praille, highly recommended if you like graffiti, street art and urban architecture.
I went there without any sketches, just to have fun with a few old spray paint. Nothing really in mind, just willing to paint and use cans. Such a pleasure to paint with cans. Sometimes, I just want to use them, without having a specific goal or drawing in mind. The feeling of painting with spray paint is something totally unique. Worth the try for anyone that like to paint.
Bellow you will find the video of this first episode of this new series called Urban Exploration. I would love to do more of it. Please leave a comment bellow to tell me what you think about it. I would love to hear your feedback about it. Feel free to give me suggestions for future videos you would like me to make. Like, share and subscribe if you appreciate it, it always helps!
Dawn of a new time is a piece composed of two walls and two columns, painted in January 2017 in Wynwood Miami. This composition turns around Gaïa, in other words the planet earth. One mural depict a crowd worshiping what look like a miniature earth elevated by one of them. These characters are painted like ancien murals paintings. Lying on the wall, another character is painted on the same mural, which represent the author of the ancien painting. He is wearing a mask, to point that what is important, is the message, not the identity of the messenger. I developed this idea on a few more murals, and will keep working on it. This goes pretty much against what is going on nowadays, with the selfie culture.
The other main mural on this composition, depict characters, among nature, fitting in, also wearing mask. Shadows character represent the nature spirits.
Enjoy bellow some progress shot and unposted pictures.
